Proper Canoe Lifting Technique

The key to properly lifting your canoe is multi-faceted but easy. All you need to do is handle a canoe that reflects your ability to lift it and practise on the front lawn or some other grassy surface. If you are a body-builder, lifting an 85 lb. Old Town Tupperware Special will require exactly the same steps as those needed by a 98 lb. weakling to shoulder a 37 lb. Souris River Carbon Tec Quetico 16.

In any case, the term “no pain – no gain” does not have to apply to canoe lifting. Generally, avoiding pain through proper movement & a little bit of planning, is the preferred method.

Howdy!

I’m Ted. A freelance Virtual Sport Show Journalist, reporting live on location, on behalf of CanoeTradeShow.com.

I’d like to thank everyone for paddling over and Rafting up here today and I invite you all to open the plastic bags I’ve handed around. Good. As you can see, I’ve put together a nice list of Boat Shows, Trade Shows and Outdoor Retailer Expositions where you might find the deal-of-a-lifetime on a canoe or kayak.

You can keep your Directory of 2008 Sport Shows after our Canoe Show Schedule Tour is done today.

In todays economy, it’s a Canoe buyer’s dream. This year promises to be an outstanding time to save BIG. As a busy reporter, I hear word on the street. The word is that THIS is the time to negotiate the very best price on a new canoe or kayak.

We will be covering the 2008 Trade and Sport Shows that host the biggest and best canoe manufacturers on their Exhibitor Lists. Big Canoe Brand Names who manufacture high quality canoes from the finest materials – and small canoe brand names from the hand-built works of art created through traditional boat-building techniques. We have a passion for all types of canoes!

Here’s a brief list of Canoe Manufacturers:

If you think Kevlar Canoe - Souris River likely comes to mind first.

Other canoe manufacturers include Bell Canoe, Old Town Canoes, Novacraft Canoes, Fletcher Canoes and several other well know brands.

Shortly CanoeTradeShow.com will host a complete Directory of Canoe Manufacturers and Canoe Makers, as well as a Directory of Kayak Manufacturers and Kayak Makers that shows which sport show each business will be attending!

BIG, FAMOUS Shows like Canoecopia, the Outdoor Retailer Sport Show, PaddleSport 2008 and several others!
